Tel Aviv Couture was founded in 2007 by Tali Kogan, with a downtown Chicago showroom and newly launched online boutique. Tel Aviv Couture is best known for its fabulous exclusive finds, private shopping events, in addition to one-on-one styling.
Tali Kogan moved to Chicago six years ago and quickly realized her evening dresses by a fashion designer friend back in Tel Aviv were a big hit with her Chicago friends, and an idea began to materialize. Soon she was taking clothing orders back to Israel, and voila!, her new career took off. Three years later, she founded Tel Aviv Couture 2007, which allowed her to combine her knowledge of American and Israeli fashion, not to mention warrant lots of visits back home.
Tali Kogan is an Israeli by way of Ukraine who moved to Chicago in 2003 to study business and accounting. In 2007, Tali Kogan decided to follow her heart and left her accounting position to launch a company that incorporated her passion for Israel with her love of fashion. Now Kogan represents more than 25 designers, including her faithful friend, who designs bridal and evening gowns under the name Lia, and Inbal Gvili, whose background in costume design and stints working for Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood are evident in her sweeping designs. Kogan doesn't have any hard and fast rules about what to carry, but her artfully assembled combination of designers, including Sigal Dekel, reflects a bold, unconventional aesthetic. She runs her Gold Coast show room devoted to the clothing and accessories of the most innovative Israeli designers, and now she launched telavivcouture.com.
